I'm a rising student affairs professional that values relationship building and celebrating the individuality of all those around me. I believe in creating environments that promote access, representation, and inclusion in higher education, and I'm committed to learning promising practices that will help me be active in this approach. Electric education and mentorship was the key in elevating my development as a student, and I aim to return that service to all those that I serve.

 

I completed my undergraduate studies at Florida International University (FIU) in my beautiful home of Miami, Florida, where I double-majored in public relations and sociology. While at FIU, I was involved in Orientation & Family Programs, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Service Learning/Civic Engagement, and a variety of campus life programming that fueled my passion for a future in Student Affairs. I was raised in the struggle throughout my early life, and I believe that naturally drew me to a life of service where I can create a lasting impact in the lives of those that I connect with.

My primary role here at IU has been serving as a Graduate Supervisor with Residential Programs & Services (RPS), where I got to oversee building operations for Read Residence Center as part of my graduate assistantship. I additionally have served the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life with a variety of leadership program facilitations, and the Office of Sexual Violence Prevention & Victim Advocacy by facilitating workshops around bystander intervention & well-being.

The foundation of the work that I do in student affairs revolves around providing guidance to students through the various challenges and successes they are experiencing, so that they can continuously realize their potential. My multi-dimensional experiences have allowed me to work with various student populations, and they have shown me a variety of approaches that I can take in my service.
